When will Township collection be in my area?
We post schedules two weeks before leaf pickup.
Why
are we always first/last to be collected?
We try to rotate the scheduling. You are welcome to bag leaves for your
regular trash and recyclables day or take leaves to the Kresson Road Leaf
Site, free of charge.
When
will our streets be swept?
The sweepers follow the crews through each area and the roads are swept
following the collection process.
My
neighbor's car was parked in the street, so the leaf collectors had to go
around it. When will they return?
Cars must be removed from the streets between the hours of 7am and 5:30pm.
Our apologies, but we cannot come back, as we have schedules to keep in
other areas that have been posted.
I
cannot rake my leaves out to the street because I am a senior citizen. Can
someone help me?
Please call Camden County Senior Services at (856) 858-3220.
Can
I bag my leaves? When do they go out?
We encourage residents to bag their own leaves. Please place them in open
bags or containers weighing under 50 pounds. They go out on your regular
trash day and are collected as recyclables.
I
have a Landscaper. How should he dispose of my leaves?
Landscapers must remove leaves from their work sites. They can pick up free
permits at DPW to deposit leaves in the Kresson Road Leaf Site.
Can
I take my leaves somewhere?
Yes, you may take them to the Kresson Road Leaf Site, Monday through
Friday, 8 am - 3 pm, Saturday 8 am - 2 pm (when crews are working). Just
show your drivers license or proof that you are a Cherry Hill resident.
Do
I have to use clear bags?
Clear bags are easier for Township collectors to spot them, but you may use
regular plastic bags - just leave one bag opened on the top. Most preferred
are bio-degradable bags as they are environmentally friendly.
The
Township collected everyone's leaves but my own. Why?
We will check with the Supervisor to determine what happened in this area,
and reply with an explanation.
Leaves
blew from your trucks back onto my lawn. Can you come back and clean them
up?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but cannot return to clean up.
I
raked my leaves into the street and they are blowing all over. What can I
do?
Please do not rake leaves until signs are posted in your neighborhood.
Remember, leaves must be raked to the curb, not to the street.
The
Township collectors will be in my area next week. Can you tell me what day
they will be on my street?
There is no way to be specific about what day we will be on a specific
street. To ensure your leaves are collected that week, have them curbside
by the beginning of the week.
We
were scheduled for pick up during a particular week, and no one showed.
Why?
Collectors are unfortunately running behind schedule. For more information,
call Public Works at (856) 424-4422.
